Harald Borrmann, ’76 BSB, has been named the president, CEO, and chair of the board of directors at Catholic United Financial in St. Paul.

1980s

John Stumpf, ’80 MBA, has been selected by AACSB as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Leaders in the world. Stumpf’s work as CEO of Wells Fargo in San Francisco has helped grow the bank to serve one in every three Americans.

John Gappa, ’81 BSB and ’82 MBA, is the chief financial officer and executive vice president of Ability Network in Minneapolis. Ability Network is a leading healthcare information technology company.

Steve Moen, ’83 BSB and ’88 MBA, has been promoted to senior vice president of business development and investment solutions at Advantus Capital Management in St. Paul.

Gary Moheban, ’85 BSB, is now a compliance initiatives manager at Wells Fargo Bank in Minneapolis after spending several years working as a consultant in various industries.

Dennis Long, ’87 MA-HRIR, recently published a book titled Managing Genius: Master the Art of Managing People.

Mike Zechmeister, ’89 BSB, is the chief financial officer and treasurer at United Natural Foods, Inc. in Providence, Rhode Island. United Natural Foods is a leading independent distributor of natural, organic, and specialty foods.

Mirja Hanson, ’90 MBA, was conferred on The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays by the Emperor of Japan on April 15, 2015. As the Consul General of Japan in Minneapolis, this award recognized Hanson’s work to strengthen cross-cultural understanding between the United States and Japan.

Julie Janckila, ’91 BSB, has joined the Network of Executive Women in Minneapolis as director of corporate partnerships.

George Hadjiyanis, ’92 MBA, has been hired as senior director of industry marketing for Workiva in Minneapolis. Workiva is a cloud-based productivity suite.

Kathy Megarry, ’92 MA-HRIR, is director of labor relations for Hennepin County.

Paul Ackerman, ’94 MBA, is vice chairman and senior banker at Wells Fargo Securities in San Francisco. He is responsible for serving global financial institutions.

Susan Park Rani, ’94 MBA, was honored at this year’s Twin Cities Business Women’s Leadership Awards on February 18. The Women’s Leadership Awards (previously known as Wonder Women) honors women who are trailblazers within their respective fields, accomplished, and highly respected for their professional acumen and achievements. She is the president of Rani Engineering in Minneapolis.

Robert Shelley, ’95 MBA, is chief sales officer at Pharmaceutical Strategies Group, based in Plano, Texas. Pharmaceutical Strategies Group is the nation’s largest independent pharmacy benefit and strategic consulting firm.

Now in its 15th year, the Top Women in Finance program recognizes women who are making an impact not only in their professions, but also in their communities.

Joshua Krsnak, ’01 BSB and president of commercial real estate investor Hempel in Minneapolis, was honored as one of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s 2016 40 Under 40. Jason Kang, ’10 BSB, was commissioned as a National Bank Examiner, one of just 50 nationwide to have earned this commissioning. The commission qualifies Kang to perform examinations of national banks, federal savings associations, and their affiliates on behalf of the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Kang works in the OOC’s Minneapolis office.
